WHATS THE RECENT UPDATES ABOUT HIV TREATMENT? Can we use injections as alternative to pills for hiv treatment? yes we can but they are presently not avilable in india. If i am using injection how frequently i have to take them? u will have to take once in a month or once in two months. what is the composition of this new treatment it contains cabotegravir and rilpivirine. which one is better? i would still prefer tablets over injectable because it is safer and effective and are being used all over the world. The side effects are very rare with the latest hiv medicines. Can the new inijectable be given to everyone? No it is only for treatment naive patients .(newly diadnosed ) Those who are are on 2nd line and 3rd line medicines ideally should continue the same medicines.
