WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF HIV? STAGE 1 In this stage the patient has no symptoms and signs .Some patients develop flu like symptoms like fever , headache and bodypains. STAGE 2 In this stage patient presents with mild symptoms like fever, sorethroat and skin infectons like herpes .They start developing antibodies against hiv. STAGE 3 In this stage patient can develop opportunistic infections like tuberculosis, various fungal (candida) and bacterial infections(pnemonia). STAGE4 In this stage patient is in advanced stage of hiv and is at risk of getting various infections like extra pulmonary tuberculosis and malignancies like lymphomas and kaposis sarocome. CD4 counts are below 50.
